It looks like Tiger Woods inspired more than just young budding golf players!!! The creator of the TigerText iPhone application was just as inspired by this golfing legend! What does this app do?? It let’s people kill embarrassing text messages after they have been sent out!!! hahaha Tiger would have really benefited from this one!

As we all know, golf god Tiger Woods’s public drubbing for philandering saw his alleged lovers tout text messages as proof of his indiscretions BUT the founder of this app was fast to say that “this is not about people trying to cheat”. So why the name?? Well, it actually came to him before the whole Tiger Woods scandal because tigers are notoriously difficult animals to track!

“If you send a private text message it should stay private.”, so for the iPhone is a text message trail-covering application (BlackBerry versions are to be available by end of March). How does it work? People receiving the messages are prompted to download the TigerText application for free in order to read the text, which is not actually sent to the recipient’s iPhone. Instead, the message is hosted on the company’s servers where it can be erased whenever the sender wishes!! To be even more secure, sent messages cannot be saved, copied or forwarded and can be deleted on demand!! A “delete on read” feature starts a 60-second countdown when a text message is opened and then erases it at zero!!! That’s like Inspector Gadget stuff right there!!! lol

While reading messages is free, the service costs $1.49 U.S. per 250 messages sent monthly, or $2.49 per month for limitless messaging. Hahaha now that’s a cheap way to cover your tracks!

How good are you in bed?? Your iPhone can now tell you!!

iPhone’s latest application, called Passion, rates people’s performance in the sack! All you do is start the program, strap the phone to your arm or belt, and press “stop” when your lovemaking session is over!

Passion then gives a rating from ‘bad’ to ‘perfect’ on three criteria – duration (monitored by the phone’s timer), activity (through the “accelerometer”), and orgasm (via the microphone)!!!!!!!!!

To make it even better (or worse), post-intercourse “you can go online and see how well you did against the rest of the world.” hahaha

Unfortunately, it’s not a free application, but well worth the 4.99$ I think! What you buy it?!

If your partner has an iPhone, no more laziness in bed! He/she can now tell if you are giving it your all!

Earlier this year, 82-year-old Pope Benedict upped his cool factor by getting his very own YouTube channel! Now, he has gone up and beyond coolness by entered the world of social networking of Facebook and iPhone apps!!!

The Pope2You website allows Facebook users to send virtual postcards with photos of Benedict and excerpts from his messages. Also on the site, an iPhone and iPod Touch application that gives surfers video and audio news on the Pope’s travels and speeches, as well as on Catholic events worldwide!!!!

The new portal is the latest update in the Vatican‘s efforts to broaden the Pope’s audience and reach out to young people. While wary of the potential pitfalls of new media, Pope Benedict has also encouraged young Catholics to use the Internet to spread the church’s message. What a smart man!

Well actually, it was all Rev. Paolo Padrini’s idea! “The walls of our churches are painted by the greatest artists of all time”, he said, “This means that the church has always invested in the culture of each period, using the best instruments available to communicate with people.”

Internet savvy Rev. Padrini was also behind another Vatican foray on the web: iBreviary, an application that brought the book of daily prayers used by priests onto iPhones.

The iPhone and iPod touch gives a new meaning to the word “finger painting.” I never even considered fiddling with paint-type applications on my iPhone because I felt I’d be limited in what I could actually do on such a small screen… Well, NY artist Jorge Colombo just proved me wrong!!

Jorge Colombo used the $5 Brushes application to create masterpieces on his iPhone. “It all started when I realized I could draw while night-riding in a car. Soon I found myself sketching NY spots that are part of my life” Colombo writes on the art site, “I’ve lived in the USA for 20 years and I’m still looking at its urban landscape as if I was discovering it for the first time” he adds.

While waiting in line at Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum, Jorge Colombo “brushed” a piece of art that actually made the cover of this week’s New Yorker magazine!! This video shows how he did it!

All I can say is WOW!!!!

Have you painted a masterpiece on your iPhone/iPod Touch?! Share it with me, I’ll post them!
