With the FIFA World Cup final upon us, millions are now curiously waiting for the Spain Vs Holland match. Not necessarily to find out who will walk away with the World Cup title, but more to see who will be right — Mani the Parrot and Paul the Octopus!!!

International fame Psychic Octopus Paul predicted Spain as the winner (see yesterday’s blog for video), meanwhile Singapore and South Asia famous Mani the Parrot predicted Netherlands as the topper.

Here’s Mani in action:

My bets are on Paul… so far, he has been 7 in 7 with his predictions and poor parakeet Mani is making it’s debut attempt on this newly found venture. It’s all about numbers people! In Paul’s case, taking into account the possibilities of draws in the group games, the chance of getting 7/7 is 0.23% (1 in 432) — Paul’s the man!!! Or I should say PAUL’S THE OCTOPUS! hahaha

“When people hear ‘Hey, Soul Sister,’ I think they’re instantly happy,” Train singer Pat Monahan once said.

Well, it shows on the 900 faces of the folks at University of Victoria who came together to create a stellar and happy-go-lucky lip dub music video for Train’s latest hit.

Directed by Dani Feixas and Santi Hausmann of the school’s advertising and PR department, this nonstop one-camera voyage brings you through the University’s campus. The comedy, costumes and arrangement are all quite incredible!

I have to say, Time After Time is one of my ultimate favorite songs! I know… I know… cheeeeesy…. but I can’t help turning up the volume when Cyndi Lauper comes on!

Have you heard the latest version we play with Cyndi and Sarah McLachlan? It’s just priceless! If you ever attended Lilith Fair, this kind of duo is typical of the event. However, for two of the biggest songstesses to come together and record it for radio play makes me happy! I LOVE this song!! haha

Lucky me, Time After Time has been covered, either in live performance or on a recording, by at least 120 different artists across a broad spectrum of genres. This though, is BY FAR my favorite version: Matchbox 20’s live performance…

Pour yourself a glass of wine, or preferred relaxing beverage, put your feet up and give this song a listen.  Well worth the effort!
