Ok… not really jumping, but rappelling!

On Monday, Sept 27th, I’ll be helping Easter Seals raise money for children with disabilites by rappelling off the 18th floor of the Delta Ottawa Hotel & Suites on Queen Street!

The best part, I’ll be dressed as a Super Hero!!

Any suggestions on what a EZ Rock Super Hero should look like!? Definitely some pink tights and a cape… what else?!

If you want to help me raise funds, I would REALLY appreciate as I only have a week to raise the coins!

Here is the link:

I’ve always wanted to be a real life Super Hero!

I love this!

Check out Peter Gabriel up close and intimate in his place, on the piano, playing/singing to Tom Waits ” In the Neighbourhood”.

It’s for The Voice Project, a music based initiative to raise awareness as well as support for the war torn areas of Northern Uganda, Southern Sudan, Eastern Congo and CAR — all affected by the ongoing violence of Joseph Kony’s rebel army the LRA in Africa’s longest running conflict.

Artists have been recording cover songs as links in musical chains that began with a small group of widows and rape survivors in Gulu, Uganda. The women there have been using songs to send messages of forgiveness to those abducted and forced to fight, many of whom escape but hide in the bush, afraid to return home because of reprisals for what they were made to do.

I get shivers just thinking about it! Relisten to it once you know this back story… Beautiful.

Even though bananas are the third most popular fruit in the world, many live in fear of them… it’s called bananaphobia.

I’m not kidding!

It’s unknown how many people actually suffer from bananaphobia, but symptoms range from gagging, hyperventilating and stomach sickness to actually tears and need to run away!

Basically, bananas drive them bananas!

Look at the video of this girl trying to get over her fear–she must really love her boyfriend for doing this:

I have to say that I know I am the mushy type of girl. However, I think anyone would love this story and have a little tinge of love for this odd couple!

Check it out:
Such a great story!

Now this is SMART!!!

Pennsylvania has introduced wine vending machines!!! Being a Frenchie, I love wine and I love this idea!

The machines work like this: A consumer has to swipe their state ID and a credit or debit card, then blow into a breathalyzer vent. If they’re old enough, sober enough, and have enough money, the door to the cooler containing the wine they want will open, and they will receive a bottle.

SO SMART!!! Bring them to Ottawa!

I love it! I haven’t had a Pop Tart in years, but I am definitely excited about this little bit of story! (Maybe not crazy-eyed excited like the lady in this photo, but still excited!).

Pop Tarts World has opened up in Times Square in New York City. The pop tart store will allow you to custom make your own pop tarts, custom make your own 12 packs and taste 30 original recipes!! Now that sounds just awesome! There’s supposedly something there for everyone — even a light show at night!!

Also, the store will sell delicacies such as “pop tart sushi”! Rest assured, Pop Tart Sushi is not a fish flavored pop tart! No — it’s different flavors of pop tarts, minced, then wrapped in a fruit roll up!! YUMMY!!!! That’s enough sugar to get me going for my whole 6 hour radio show!!

If you want to visit Pop Tarts World, you’ll have to go to NYC before January 2011 — time at which Kelloggs will evaluate the business opportunity and see if this venture is as hot as previously believed.

Don’t forget to bring me back some pop tart sushi!

A 22-year-old from England formerly known as plain old Ceejay Epton, has changed her name to Ceejay A Apple B Boat C Cat D Dog E Elephant F Flower G Goat H House I Igloo J Jellyfish K Kite L Lion M Monkey N Nurse O Octopus P Penguin Q Queen R Robot S Sun T Tree U Umbrella V Violin W Whale X X-Ray Y Yo-Yo Z Zebra Terryn Feuji-Sharemi.

I’m not kidding…. to save both time and headaches, tabloids have dubbed her “Miss Alphabet”.  She  said she changed her name to help teach her newly born son the alphabet and “for a bit of a laugh.” We’re sure it won’t seem as funny when she has to break the news to her credit-card company or the health card and drivers liscence people!!!!

This is SO RIDICULOUS!! Everybody knows A is for Alpha, B Bravo, C Charlie, D Delta, E Echo, F Foxtrot…. haha
Epton changed her name through The Legal Deed Poll Service, which charges £10 for moniker upgrades. It must be one of those internet services — it gained recognition in 2008, when a teenager named George Garratt legally became known as Captain Fantastic Faster Than Superman Spiderman Batman Wolverine Hulk And The Flash Combined. In an interview, Garratt said: “My family have begun to expect these sorts of things from me, and although my friends thought it was ridiculous most people do call me Captain and it’s been a great conversation starter.” No kidding!

If you were going to change your own name, what would you change it to?

Kim 😉
