All I can say is WOW!!

Sarah Bareilles took part in Billboard’s Mashup Mondays where she put her own twist on the hit Beyonce song “Single Ladies.” She made it slower, jazzier and gave it great vocal harmonies. I LOVE IT!

“I’m gonna do a cover of a song, I want to completely reinterpret it,” she said. “It would be hard to imagine it as sort of a doo-wop-y, voice-and-piano kind of song, so I started fooling around with that on the piano, and it ended up being something super-fun.”

Check it out:

Wow, wow and wow! I LOVE IT (did I mention that already?!)!

Do you need a soundtrack to your Father’s day? Not only can this be a very cute gift, but it could be entertaining for this special day years to come; a CD of songs about dads!

It’s really to make, taking you only about an hour to find the songs online, download them and voila! How fun of an idea is that!

Here a couple of great “dad songs: that could be including on your Daddy Compilation:

– These are about dysfuntional fathers, but hey! They are good songs anyways–we are not doing a soundtrack to your dad’s life, just a daddy-in-general inspired CD!! Papa was a Rolling Stone (Temptations) & Cats in the Cradle (Harry Chapin).

You have to throw in some Madonna– Papa Don’t Preach –and Lady Gaga– Speechless (written for her dad to encourage him to get the open heart surgery he needed). A Boy Named Sue (Johnny Cash) is also a good pick and The Living Years (Mike + The Mechanics) reminds you about things can go unsaid until it’s too late. Just pick up the phone. Or send a text. Whatever!! haha A life lesson while making the CD!

OF COURSE, you need to add in the tear jerkers: My Old Man (Ian Dury and the Blockheads), Song For Dad (Keith Urban), Dance with My Father (Luther Vandross), My Father’s Eyes (Eric Clapton) and Father and Son (Cat Stevens).

Did you know that  Wake Me Up When September Ends by Green Day was about dads? Don’t be fooled by the video, in which a teen loses her boyfriend at war. Apparently, it’s a memorial to Billie Joe Armstrong’s father, who died of cancer when Billie was 10 years old.

Finally, my favorite: Daddy by Beyonce. It’s about how Dad has always been there and nobody else could ever replace him. Even if heart broken, it won’t matter! You already have ”a man in my life that can’t be replaced. For this love is unconditional, it won’t go away,”! I love it!

There you go! A great daddy cd!!

Some of the biggest names in music came out last night (Sunday, Jan31) for the 52nd annual Grammy Awards. The ladies ruled the evening — with Beyonce and Taylor Swift both taking home top honors!

Beyonce led the pack with 10 nods & ended up making history for the most wins by a female artist in a single Grammy night by scoring six trophies (incl. song of the year for “Single Ladies”). Swift entered with eight nominations and left with four, including one of the event’s most prestigious awards — album of the year! Not sure I understand that win, but hey…

Other big winners: Kings of Leon scored record of the year for “Use Somebody.” The Black Eyed Peas won three awards, including best pop vocal album for The E.N.D., and Jay-Z took home three –one for best rap solo performance and two awards for “Run This Town” with Rihanna and Kanye West (who was a no show).

1) Lady Gaga & Elton John’s duet:

2) Pink should be part of Cirque du Soleil:

3) Green Day scored big singing with the cast of their Broadway version of American Idiot (and with a Grammy for Best Rock Album):

Finally, special mention goes to the duet of Mary J Blige and Andrea Bocelli — a song that can be downloaded for Haiti relief and just poured chills down my spine:

There you go! Grammy Awards 2010 in a nut shell!

Beyonce just released the music video for her latest single “Broken-Hearted Girl” and once-again, it is in black and white — which is a subject of complaint for those who have nothing else to do!

Gotta say that unlike Single Ladies, Diva, If I Were a Boy and Ego — this video is only partially in black and white. Plus, who cares! Black and white keeps it simple, keeps it artistic and doesn’t it make your skin look great!? lol

The video will also be released on the DVD Above and Beyoncé: Dance Mixes, out today and sold exclusively at Wal-Mart.

Beyonce Knowles is the latest superstar to makes her animated debut!!

In Nick Jr’s TV movie “Wubb Idol”, she plays Shine!, a blondie WubbGirlz. Beyonce will guest-star as Shine! in four new episodes of Nick Jr.’s Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! starting Monday, April 27 (You can also catch her Friday May 1st at 1pm on Nick Jr & Sunday May 3rd at 7pm on NOGGIN — I know nothing of kid channels, but these are both part of Nickelodeon, so must be available in Canada!). Here is the promo clip for the TV movie that shows Beyonce in studio recording her animated self:

Now, if that got you curious and you want to see an exclusive clip of what to expect –check out this little tid-bit video of the final product! Beyonce does and AWESOME job! Click: Beyonce on Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!
